PartnerHacker Daily #11: Marketplaces to the Rescue?

I love ecology for the same reason I love partner ecosystems; because they are counter-intuitive. Turns out, the more complex and diverse a system is, the more stable it is. Huh. Does this overthrow the old K.I.S.S. idea? I don't think so.

Complexity: friend or foe?

I love ecology for the same reason I love partner ecosystems; because they are counter-intuitive.

Turns out, the more complex and diverse a system is, the more stable it is. Huh.

Does this overthrow the old K.I.S.S. idea? I don't think so. Complexity for its own sake isn't beneficial. But mutual interdependence is more robust than siloes.

Read the full post for some examples.

Dave points out - maybe not on purpose - that the lack of an offer is a powerful reason why B2B needs marketplaces.

Marketers can't distribute offers because there is no infrastructure to manage the transaction offsite with their normal partners.

The inability to manage offers in B2B is something we see tech companies changing this year.
