PartnerHacker Daily #201: Comparative Advantage

Partner up to win

In 1817, Economist David Ricardo formulated the law of comparative advantage to explain the benefits of trade rather than doing everything yourself.

It is hard to believe that it took so long for someone to state the obvious: focus on what you do best and partner up for the rest.

When you can do something with a lower opportunity cost than everyone else, you have a comparative advantage. If you focus on that, you win. Sure, you can try to do everything for yourself, but you won't grow as fast if you do.

By working with partners, you can focus on what you do best and let your partners do what they do best. You both win.

The power of a gift (and one for you!)

Giving a gift feels great. It's powerful for both the giver and the receiver. It's a way to show appreciation, recognize a milestone, or start a conversation. In partnerships, the first-giver advantage is real!

Packed with Purpose helps make B2B gift-giving easy by helping you select a unique gift for your partners. They've put together a free gift-giving guide with some dos and don'ts of gift-giving this holiday season. (There are some great tips on how to select a gift that reflects your company's values.)

Here's the part where we offer you a gift!
