Hey Marketers!
I've got a banger of an episode for you today.
Today, Ethan Beute, Chief Evangelist at BombBomb 💣 is dropping some massive knowledge bombs 💥.
For Ethan, marketing isn't about how you do marketing; it's about who you do marketing with and who you do it for.
Ethan said,
When we focus on how many, and lose sight of who, then I think we're just playing a losing game long term.
Marketing isn't just a numbers game; it's about connecting with other people.
Would you rather send 100 people personal emails and get 50 responses, or would you rather send 2000 emails and get 50 responses?
When you connect directly with fewer people, you'll:
- annoy fewer people, and
- get better results
Ethan encourages us to take a unique human-centered approach to marketing and creating content.
You want your content to be co-created and co-promoted.
Marketing isn't just about pushing your message and moving on to the next campaign.
Create a target account list — then get them on your podcast
Ethan says you can use your podcast as a jumping-off point to start the conversation and get the ball rolling.
The end goal is to be in conversation and to be in a relationship with your guest.
After the podcast is over, you can continue the conversation by tagging your guest in clips from the show.
Then share the podcast with people on your team who will benefit from the content.

What do you think?
I'm completely on board with Ethan and this Nearbound strategy.
We've moved into a new era of marketing where who you market to is more important than how you market.
But I want to know about you think.
Hit me up on LinkedIn and let me know your thoughts.
Until next time!
