Marketing Together #20: 3 Ways to Market with Creators in Your Niche

Hey Marketers!

I've got a 🔥 replay for you today.

Today, we're going back to episode 6 to learn from Nick Bennett, host of the Anonymous Marketer podcast and co-founder of ClubPF.

This episode dives into influencer marketing.

We cover how to evaluate potential people to work with, understand their motivations, and how you can structure incentives to create long-term relationships and creative ideas.

We learn how you can become a creator that companies are jumping out of their seats to work with.

Embrace the creative mindset

I think we have to change our mindset, and put the creators first.

And if we embrace the creators, and become an engine that empowers creators, you learn more about their audience, you help them pick the right topics, and you help them produce content that is relevant and personal.
– Nick Bennett

How to work with creators to build trust and influence

  1. Invite creators into your brainstorming process to drive ideas for content creation within your org.
  2. Find a creative way to incentivize creators. It doesn't have to be all about money. Many creators just want the opportunity to collaborate with other creators.
  3. Bring creators in-house. Create a program for new creators to get mentoring by senior creators.

Let your creativity flourish

Working with content creators isn't just about paying a creator and giving them a UTM link.

The space has evolved to the point where creators are truly excited to work together with your team if given the opportunity.

Nick Bennett reminds us that creators often have a better vision of how customers view and use our product than we do. He encourages us not to put too many guardrails around content creation.

By putting creators first, you allow their creativity to flourish and bring new value to the table. In exchange, B2B brands get to build trust and influence with their customers.
